Poems By Kyle Toth

Wasted Child

Face down
In a puddle of blood
She cried
Her shivering breaks up
the reflection
She sees.
Her screams shatter
the silence
that brought her here.
The rain has washed
her memories away
Hounds search with resolve
Intense roaming leads the forces
in the battle for direction.
The dead trees become ever more familiar
